Summary
The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for managing daily HR matters, employee relations, HR policies and compliance, staff development, performance management, and employee engagement. Works closely with management and the HR team to ensure effective implementation of HR policies and support the company's overall business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and update company HR policies in accordance with MOM requirements and applicable employment regulations.
- Prepare HR announcements, memos, and communication sessions to ensure employees are informed of company policies and updates.
- Handle general company compliance and legal-related matters, including contracts, documentation, regulatory requirements, and other related matters.
- Monitor staff attendance, leave, conduct, and compliance with company policies.
- Manage employee relations and workplace matters, maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues fairly and confidentially.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related matters.
- Coordinate the employee performance appraisal process and support managers in addressing performance-related matters.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee training and development programme to support business and career growth.
- Organize team-bonding activities, company events, and employee engagement initiatives to promote teamwork and a positive workplace culture.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties or projects as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant HR experience.
- Good knowledge of local employment legislation, including the Employment Act and MOM requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communications
- Meticulous, organized, and detail oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the HR team and other departments.
- Professional workingproficiency in English and Mandarin.
