About the role

The Asst Customer Marketing Manager for Taiwan is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that advance Penfolds ambition of becoming a luxury icon. This includes driving brand visibility, accelerating depletion, and increasing market share across both markets through efficient and effective use of A&P, with a strong ROI mindset. A key responsibility is to engage and influence trade partners, securing their belief in and commitment to the brand a critical enabler of sales performance at both distributor and retailer levels. Close collaboration with the Singapore and Taiwan Commercial Teams is essential, with both functions aligned on the shared objectives of delivering market growth and achieving sales targets.



  • Annual Strategic planning


    • Align customer marketing initiatives with brand and market priorities through collaboration with Brand Marketing, Commercial teams, and external partners during annual planning cycles.



    • Utilize market, shopper, and channel insights to inform trade marketing plans that address specific consumer needs and retail partner objectives.



    • The full-year A&P budget must be carefully planned in details and rigorously tracked throughout the year to ensure spending remains within the allocated budget. Each activity should be assessed through an ROI focused lens.



    • Integrate On-Premise, Off-Premise, and E-Commerce programs into a cohesive, market-relevant strategy.



    Program Development, Execution & evaluation

    • Develop and execute premium and luxury trade programs that support the brands ambition of becoming a luxury icon.



    • Develop and implement differentiated programs tailored for various channels and retail partners to achieve brand and commercial objectives and create competitive advantage.



    • Create intuitive, impactful marketing programs that inform and educate shoppers while enhancing brand engagement.



    • Monitor and manage the execution of key programs, capturing learnings to drive continuous improvement and executional excellence.



    • Track and analyse monthly depletion trends to identify risks and opportunities, implementing responsive action plans to address market dynamics.



    • Work closely with Sales and Trade teams to ensure timely and effective activation of programs at the point of sale.



    Stakeholder & Agency Management

    • Build strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and flawless execution.



    • Manage agency relationships (BTL, experiential, etc.), ensuring high-quality output and actively sourcing innovative activation ideas.



    Commercial & Financial Management

    • Manage market-level P&L in partnership with relevant Commercial stakeholders (e.g. Regional Sales Manager, Country Manager, Business Manager, Key Account Manager), ensuring alignment with volume, value, and profitability targets.



    • Oversee A&P budget management, depletion / stock-on-hand (SOH) reporting, and purchase order (PO) processes to ensure financial discipline.



    • Apply ROI analysis and profitability models to evaluate program effectiveness and guide resource allocation.



    Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and brand guidelines in the execution of marketing activities.



    About you

    • Bachelors degree with emphasis on marketing and business


    • Luxury brand management or trade marketing experience preferred, minimum 3+ years in the relates business environment


    • Prior experience in Wines & Spirits or luxury industry is an advantage


    • Regional / market wide experience will be beneficial


    • Strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day grind to help reach marketing and sales goals, create a stronger brand, and improve the brand experience


    • Good understanding of various marketing and sales touchpoints


    • Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns and programs that drive sell through and depletions


    • Proficient skills set and experience in budget controls, evaluations, analytics, and interpretation to determine marketing effectiveness and ROIs


    • Strong project management & planning skills; excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task while managing cross functional demands


    • Ability to build, manage and maintain effective stakeholder relationship, experience in managing agencies


    • Fluency in English and Mandarin
