Assistant Computer Officer (Multimedia)
The Centre is seeking a passionate and competent candidate to join a university-school partnership programme funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, serving as a Multimedia Specialist for the Programme. The Programme aims to enhance the learning and teaching of Chinese Language and Literature in schools through the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technologies.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing and operating filming equipment for 360/VR applications (b) conducting filming and post-production for both 2D and 360/VR materials, ensuring the highest quality output (c) filming, editing, and producing project-related videos and promotional materials for the Centre (d) maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing user support for traditional and VR filming equipment (e) collaborating with software developers on the implementation of VR applications (f) providing training to school teachers, co-ordinating VR support services, and offering on-site assistance and (g) participating in, organising, and filming school outdoor activities.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, or preferably with a Master's degree, in Multimedia, Creative Media, Digital Media, Film Production, Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a recognised institution (ii) relevant work experience (preferably at least 1 year) in multimedia production, with hands-on expertise in operating professional filming equipment and carrying out production workflows (iii) proficiency in multimedia production tools and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar) (iv) a strong portfolio demonstrating multimedia, VR/AR, social media, or game development projects and (v) excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive work attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
