Key Responsibilities
Executing sample analysis and materials testing / characterization. Planning and executing designed experiments in collaboration with R&D scientists, scale-up engineers, customer engagement / troubleshooting, product issue investigation and manufacturing problem solving.
Providing technical support for multidisciplinary teams for new products, raw materials and capability developments.
Performing laboratory equipment installation, set-up, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Generating, analyzing and summarizing data in analytical reports. Generating and maintaining SOPs for the safety and efficient operation of equipment.
Interacting and collaborating in a professional manner with other groups including Field Service, Product Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Qualifications
Master or above degree in the field of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Material Science / Engineering. Major in analytical chemistry or material analysis is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years or above experience in analytical laboratory. Understanding analytical methodologies in CMP technology is a plus.
Demonstrate analytical knowledge and skills, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, analytical method development, validation and optimization, hands-on instrument operation and maintenance, SOP document writing and/or EHS activities.
Familiar with analytical technologies, including but not limited to optical micro-spectroscopy, material mechanical testing, thermo-analysis, polymer property analysis, surface imaging, elemental analysis, chromatography, and/or particle characterization.
Chemical manufacturing, semiconductor industry experience, or internship/ training courses in college education in those fields is preferred.
Good computer and software skills with the ability to learn new software. Basic statistical knowledge and usage of related software (JMP) is a plus.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple projects.
Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues and execute assigned project independently with limited supervisor's guidance is an extra strength.
Fluent in English & Mandarin. Work experience in global environment is preferred.
Good teamwork spirit, independent problem solving, interpersonal communication skills are highly preferred.
