We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • To support Global Relationship Banker (GRB) in developing and managing large Hong Kong based corporate relationships, which includes maintenance and penetration for strong existing relationships
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues. Work with various product teams to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions and efficient feedback to client inquiries
  • Contribute to identifying strategies to maintain / enhance overall relationship returns and ensure early identification of potential credit issues Provide high quality industry sector, competitor, and peer analysis to support business development, portfolio management and credit risk assessment
  • Identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services Prepare client meeting materials/presentations, and where relevant participate in and contribute to high quality of client meetings
  • Complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc.
  • Facilitate KYC for new client onboarding/transactions as well as coordinate ongoing KYC renewal cases
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Deep business knowledge of HK corporate banking clients and products

  • University graduate with excellent client service skills Experience in client facing role and/or corporate banking experience is preferred

  • Good understanding of risk management and risk mitigation Familiar with HK regulatory requirements and KYC standards

  • Strong attention to detail and be able to work independently under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
