Administrative Assistant II (AAII) / Executive Officer (EO) in Research Services of the Registry (Ref.: 533359) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should have a good University degree and at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions or other public organizations, of which at least 2 years should be at supervisory or management level. They should be able to work independently and demonstrate excellent communication skills, inclusive of a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. They should also have good interpersonal and organizational skills, IT proficiency, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. Experience in research administration in tertiary institutions and project management / system development would be an advantage. Applicants with less experience may be considered as EO.
The appointee will support the following activities/initiatives of Research Services by providing administrative services through liaison with other offices/units of the University and serving relevant committees as necessary:
. Research Grant Administration
. Research Agreements
. Research Information Management System
. Coordination of visits, symposia and events and
. Other duties or ad-hoc projects assigned by the Section Head.
