Job Description

An Actuarial Analyst in our Capital and Reinsurance Management team, where you will play a key role supporting capital planning, ORSA stress testing, and capital sensitivity analysis. You will contribute to model maintenance, process and control improvements, capital initiatives to drive capital efficiency and risk mitigation.

  • Assist in routine capital management tasks, including quarterly capital sensitivities to key risks, capital movement tracking, forecasting, and evaluating capital contribution from in-force and new business.
  • Provide modelling and analytical support for ORSA submissions, focusing on stress and scenario testing under various adverse scenarios to assess capital projection and resilience.
  • Contribute to the development of capital plan during the strategic and business planning cycle, including analysis on key business lines, new business capital contribution by key products, product mix and sales volume, etc.
  • Support various capital initiatives and analysis, examples including investigating new business capital metrics by risk component under base and stress scenarios, supporting analysis in financial reinsurance solutions for capital optimization.
  • Collaborate on actuarial department projects, offer modelling expertise and analytical inputs to enhance process and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related disciplines
  • Good progress in actuarial exams
  • 2-4 years of experience in the life insurance industry
  • Solid understanding of valuation, capital and financial reporting
  • Experience in asset and liability cash flow testing and stress testing is a plus
  • Proficiency in Axis or Prophet ALS is highly valued
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proactive ownership mindset able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Effective time management with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a strong sense of team commitment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, both English and Chinese
