About the Role

The accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role supports the Senior Finance Manager in maintaining robust financial controls, managing month-end closing, and providing reliable financial data and analysis to enable informed business decisions.Roles and Responsibilities:

Finance Operations & Accounting
Responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.
Handle bank transactions and maintain relationships with bankers to ensure smooth financial operations.

Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly schedules, operational cost provisions, and revenue accruals.
Compile revenue and cost summaries and perform financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Maintain financial reporting standards and accounting controls in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
Coordinate group finance reporting requirements, including regular schedules and intercompany reconciliations.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Cash Flow & Controls
Support cash flow management and related reporting activities.
Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with Group policies.

Operations Support
Reconcile sales, inventory, and cash transactions across multiple locations.
Partner with operations teams to ensure financial integrity and accuracy.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Audit & Tax
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and filings.

Other
Perform ad hoc assignments and projects as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Recognised professional qualification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Solid experience in full-set accounting
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, including financial reporting and accounting operations
Experience in audit, group reporting, and financial consolidation is highly desirable
Experience in the medical industry is an advantage
Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Hong Kong and international tax laws, and the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems experience with clinic management systems is a plus
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency quick learner
Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player
