Position Summary
The Head of Quality is responsible for defining and leading the overall quality strategy across the organization to ensure that products, services, and processes meet or exceed internal and external standards. This role drives a culture of continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction by establishing robust quality systems, governance frameworks, and performance metrics. As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Quality collaborates cross-functionally to embed quality into every stage of the value chain—from design and development to manufacturing, delivery, and post-market support—ensuring operational excellence and long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement Taoglas quality strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Champion the voice of the customer at the executive level, driving initiatives that enhance quality performance, build trust, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
- Establish and govern supplier quality systems, including qualification processes, performance monitoring, and strategic capability development to support scalable growth.
- Lead product quality engineering efforts, embedding design-for-quality principles, proactive risk management, and lifecycle quality planning across all product lines.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards and certifications, maintaining audit readiness and fostering a culture of regulatory excellence. Own, develop and maintain the QMS system and develop digital platform to eliminate paper, manage document control versions, automate approval. Lead management reviews, audits and policy updates.
- Drive manufacturing quality excellence, promoting a zero-defect mindset and implementing systems that enhance operational efficiency and product reliability.
- Develop and monitor enterprise-wide quality metrics (e.g., PPM, COPQ, yield, customer satisfaction, PPAP/APQP documents), providing actionable insights and regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Lead resolution of major quality escalations and systemic issues, ensuring thorough root cause analysis, sustainable corrective actions, and restoration of customer confidence.
- Build and mentor a high-performing global quality team, fostering leadership, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze complex customer contracts, quality related terms.
- Ability to innovate and embed AI based solutions for IQC process, supplier data management and hardware to eliminate human error.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership roles, ideally within high-tech, manufacturing, or automotive sectors. Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of RF connectors, RF cable assemblies and antennas.
- Proven success in leading global quality teams and driving strategic quality initiatives across complex organizations.
- Additional certifications in quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, IATF 16949, ASQ CQE) are highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), IATF 16949, international standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Expertise in advanced quality tools and methodologies: FMEA, SPC, DOE, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, RMA process, Control Plans.
- Knowledge of 3rd party tests labs capabilities in Taiwan, Europe, India, Vietnam is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital quality platforms, data analytics, and enterprise-wide continuous improvement systems.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, foster accountability, and drive a culture of excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
