Job Description

WSHO - Scope of Work

  • Perform full-time Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) duties at the assigned project/site.
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Regulations, MOM requirements, and project/client safety requirements.
  • Conduct routine site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and review Safe Work Procedures / Method Statements.
  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety induction where required.
  • Monitor contractors/subcontractors and workers for compliance with safety requirements.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and prepare the necessary reports.
  • Maintain WSH documentation, inspection records, permits, registers and safety reports.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, site team, client and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
  • Attend safety meetings and support safety audits/inspections.
  • Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are closed out.

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered WSHO with MOM with valid registration.
  • Relevant WSH qualifications/certifications required for WSHO registration.
  • Relevant experience in construction / A&A / M&E / project site safety preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and MOM requirements.
  • Able to prepare safety documentation, reports, risk assessments and incident reports.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with the project/site team.
  • Immediate/short-notice availability preferred.
