P-116766 Windows System Diagnostics Engineer
Description
As a Windows System Diagnostics Engineer, you will specialize in defining and identifying key telemetry signals that provide deep insights into the relationship between software behaviors and system-wide power consumption. You will focus on leveraging telemetry data sources such as WMI classes, ACPI states, and ETW providers to correlate software events with system power states, enabling accurate diagnostics.
1. Identify and define the most predictive telemetry signals related to power consumption and system performance across different hardware and software environments.
2. Focus on system-wide telemetry, correlating software behaviors with hardware performance, especially power consumption during various use cases.
3. Work with WMI classes, ACPI states, and ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) providers to collect detailed telemetry data on system power usage, CPU/GPU activity, and memory utilization.
4. Collaborate with software engineers and hardware teams to develop high-fidelity diagnostic recommendations based on telemetry analysis, ensuring actionable insights for system optimization.
5. Develop and implement processes for telemetry data analysis, enabling the accurate interpretation of complex system interactions in response to specific software behaviors.
6. Conduct thorough analysis of power consumption patterns, identifying inefficiencies and recommending optimizations to improve overall system performance and energy efficiency.
7. Continuously refine telemetry methodologies to provide real-time insights into power usage and software impact, ensuring that diagnostic tools remain accurate and relevant.
