VP - Technology Risk Manager

We are hiring a VP-level Technology Risk Manager for a leading financial services organisation in Singapore to strengthen IT risk, IT governance, controls, and audit readiness across enterprise technology environments. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with senior stakeholders to enhance technology risk posture, strengthen regulatory compliance, and ensure robust, well-governed IT processes.

Responsibilities of a Technology Risk Manager include:

• Lead the design and ongoing enhancement of IT and cyber risk policies, processes, and controls, ensuring they are practical, consistent, and aligned to the organisation's risk appetite
• Oversee the testing, monitoring, and enforcement of technology risk controls, providing clear insights and updates to senior management on key issues and remediation progress
• Lead and manage IT-related audits and regulatory reviews, overseeing the full lifecycle from planning and information requests through to responses and closure of findings
• Work with technology, security, and risk teams to identify control gaps, streamline processes, and embed stronger risk awareness and accountability across IT functions
• Stay abreast of relevant regulations and industry frameworks (e.g. MAS TRM, MAS Cyber Hygiene, NIST, ISO 27001) and translate changes into actionable updates to policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 12 years of experience in technology risk, IT audit, or IT governance roles, ideally within banking, fintech, payments, or other regulated financial institutions
• Strong understanding of IT and cyber risk concepts, control design, and regulatory expectations, with hands-on experience handling IT audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
• Familiarity with key regulatory and industry frameworks such as MAS TRM, MAS Cyber Hygiene, NIST, and ISO 27001
• Proven ability to work with external auditors and regulators, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in engaging senior stakeholders
• High attention to detail and a structured approach to reviewing IT policies, processes, and audit responses, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset
