Oracle is seeking a senior executive to lead OCI's global strategy and execution across data center real estate acquisition, power sourcing, colocation development, and infrastructure expansion. This leader will own the end-to-end strategy for securing scalable infrastructure capacity required to support OCI's aggressive growth trajectory, with a particular emphasis on Asia and Europe, where proximity to customers, regulatory complexity, utility constraints, and speed-to-market are critical competitive differentiators.
The successful candidate will drive large-scale infrastructure initiatives spanning land acquisition, utility and energy procurement, colocation strategy, supplier negotiations, and development execution across multiple international regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Infrastructure Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute OCI's global infrastructure acquisition and power sourcing strategy to support hyperscale cloud expansion.
- Drive long-term regional growth plans focused on enabling OCI scale across Asia, including emerging and high-growth markets.
- Build strategic relationships with utilities, governments, colocation providers, developers, and infrastructure partners globally.
- Ensure Oracle maintains unconstrained infrastructure capacity and power availability to support customer demand and accelerated OCI deployment schedules.
Real Estate Acquisition & Campus Development
- Lead colocation site selection, evaluation, and acquisition activities globally.
- Oversee large-scale data center campus development initiatives, including land acquisition, utility access, and development contracting.
- Negotiate standard and complex colocation leases and real estate agreements.
- Evaluate site scalability, operational feasibility, infrastructure readiness, and regional market conditions.
- Drive due diligence programs covering technical, operational, financial, legal, and regulatory considerations.
Power & Utility Strategy
- Own energy sourcing and utility procurement strategies for OCI data centers.
- Negotiate retail electricity agreements, utility contracts, and long-term power supply arrangements.
- Manage supplier relationships and delivery timelines to ensure infrastructure readiness aligns with OCI growth objectives.
- Analyze international energy markets, utility regulations, and geopolitical risks to identify opportunities and mitigate supply constraints.
- Navigate complex regulatory environments across Asia.
Supplier & Colocation Management
- Develop strategic supplier frameworks and qualification programs for colocation and infrastructure partners.
- Conduct operational, financial, and scalability assessments of suppliers and providers.
- Lead negotiations to secure cost-effective, scalable, and energy-compliant infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with key global partners and vendors.
Organizational Leadership
- Build and scale a high-performing global organization aligned to OCI's future growth strategy.
- Establish regionally focused teams supporting infrastructure sourcing, development, and operational expansion.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop leadership talent across multiple geographies.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, legal, finance, engineering, supply chain, and business development organizations.
Executive Leadership & Communication
- Own the roadmap, business strategy, and execution model for global infrastructure acquisition and power sourcing.
- Present strategic recommendations, investment priorities, and operational updates to Oracle executive leadership.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous, high-growth environment with executive-level accountability and visibility.
Requirement:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in data center infrastructure, real estate, power sourcing, or hyperscale cloud operations.
- Deep expertise in global data center site selection, campus development, land acquisition, and utility/power procurement.
- Proven experience negotiating large-scale colocation, utility, and infrastructure agreements.
- Strong understanding of international energy markets, utility regulations, and regional infrastructure challenges.
- Demonstrated success leading hyperscale infrastructure expansion across Asia and Europe.
- Executive-level operational, organizational, and commercial leadership experience.
- Proven ability to build and scale globally distributed teams.
