I'm partnering with a leading global alternative investment manager to hire a VP-level Investment Operations / Deal Specialist to support the build-out of its Asia private credit platform, based in Singapore.

This is a high-impact operations role locally, working closely with senior investment professionals in Asia and a global platform based in the US.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of investment, operations, and execution.

You'll work closely with the private credit investment team to support deal execution and lifecycle management, while partnering with global operations, fund administrators, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure transactions are operationally robust and scalable.

It's ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, ownership, and being close to the deal process, rather than operating in a large back-office team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary investment operations / deal specialist for the Asia private credit platform
• Partner closely with the investment team on deal execution, structuring, and operational readiness
• Support the full transaction lifecycle, from deal onboarding through ongoing portfolio operations
• Coordinate with fund administrators, legal counsel, compliance, and global ops teams
• Ensure consistency with global standards and controls, while adapting to local execution needs
• Help build and refine processes and infrastructure as the Asia platform scales
• Serve as the key operations interface between Asia and the US team

Ideal Background

We're looking for someone who brings depth, maturity, and sound judgment.

Strong fit if you have:

• 8–12+ years of experience in investment operations, deal operations, or transaction support
• Exposure to private credit, direct lending, private markets, or alternative investments
• Experience working closely with investment professionals, not just post-trade operations
• Comfort operating as a one-person function with global support
• Prior experience in an international / global platform (US-headquartered a plus)
• A calm, adaptable, solutions-oriented mindset — especially in changing environments

Less suitable if your background is purely:

• Fund accounting only
• Highly process-driven roles with large teams and limited deal exposure
