Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the in-depth customized research and development of vector databases, optimizing the distributed architecture, and achieving high throughput and low-latency vector retrieval capabilities 2. Responsible for solving storage engine performance bottlenecks in scenarios of massive vector data 3. Responsible for the construction of the Volcano Engine vector database platform, integrating cloud native, building stable links, and expanding the ecosystem 4. Propose and promote solutions for specific needs in vector retrieval business scenarios.
Qualifications
1. Have a solid computer foundation and excellent engineering coding skills, and be familiar with at least one language Golang/C++/Java/Python 2. Have the ability to learn quickly, self-driven awareness and efficient collaborative communication, have the ability to analyze and dismantle complex problems, and have the pursuit and passion for technology. Bonus points: 1. In-depth participation in source code contribution or secondary development of open source vector databases such as Milvus, Qdrant, and Chroma 2. Master the core principles of database engines, and participated in the commercialization of database cloud products 3. Proficient in the basic principles of distributed systems, with experience in the development, application, and optimization of large-scale distributed systems 4. Familiar with the principles of vector index algorithms such as Faiss, HNSW, and ScaNN, and experience in large-scale vector retrieval performance tuning 5. Have experience of winning awards in competitions such as ACM/NOI, or have published research results in top conferences in the database fields such as SIGMOD and VLDB.
