You will take control of cutting-edge uncrewed surface vehicles, leading real-world deployments while ensuring safe, precise operations in dynamic field environments.

What You'll Do
- Conduct USV maritime operations Risk Assessment and toolbox talks
- Ensure the safe launch and recovery of USVs
- Mobilisation and demobilization of the USV
- Create lift plans for USV mobilisation/launch and recovery
- Carry out USV predeparture checks
- Make local pilotage plans accounting for local conditions / liaison with ROC pilots regarding passage planning
- Monitor the USV performance on mission
- Maintain the integrity of communication systems
- Liaison with local authorities
- Maintain logs during operations / maintain inventory on site
- Carry out routine servicing and mechanical maintenance tasks on the USV
- Pilot the USV on a local controller and from a local operation centre
- Pilot support vessels and daughter craft
- Hand over the USV to remote operations centre
- Act as primary point of contact for the ROC dealing with comms.
- Carry out 3rd party support vessel audits
- Prepare towing procedures
- Lead execution of emergency drills
- Ensure shore locations LSA/FFA/SOPEP and lifting equipment is kept in good working order and serviced.
What You'll Need
- OOW/CoC, Master 500, or commercially endorsed RYA Advanced Power boat or Yacht Master certificate
- Experience in USV operations or onboard survey vessels or small boats preferred
- Experience piloting USVs preferred
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in maritime autonomy
- Must have or be able to obtain all industry required certificates to work offshore
- Must be able to obtain a valid passport and/or visas to travel internationally
- Valid industry safety certification (STCW, GOW or equivalent)
- English, Mandarin is advantageous for Taiwan based applicants
- Valid driving licence.
