【General Responsibilities】
- System Architecture and Integration: Lead the architecture design, component selection, and system integration of the electro-mechanical systems, power propulsion, and communication networks for CircularBlue's Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV). (CircularBlue website: https://rhinoshield.tw/circularblue)
- AI Technology Implementation and Interfacing: Act as the core technical contact window to communicate closely with domestic and international AI partners. Assist in integrating AI algorithms (such as intelligent obstacle avoidance, object recognition, and path planning) into the hardware and control systems of the USV.
- Automatic Navigation and Control Tuning: Responsible for the parameter setting, operation, and the tuning and optimization of motion control algorithms for the USV's automatic navigation control system (Autopilot / GNC).
- On-site Sea Trials and Operations & Maintenance (O&M): Plan and execute physical sea trials. Responsible for the on-site installation, dynamic testing, and daily maintenance of onboard electro-mechanical equipment, sensors, and power propulsion systems.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Leadership: Conduct system troubleshooting and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing.
[Work Location] Tainan, Kaohsiung (preferred), or Taipei. (Note: This position requires frequent business trips and on-site testing at project sites, ports, or shipyards—such as Tainan, Kaohsiung, or other testing fields—to align with R&D progress and project requirements.)
【Job Requirements】
- Experience and Education: Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automatic Control, Systems and Marine Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, or related fields. Experience in electro-mechanical integration or unmanned vehicle R&D is preferred.
- Programming Skills: Experience developing on Ubuntu Linux and NVIDIA Jetson platforms. Proficient in using C++/Python and the ROS2 framework for unmanned vehicle navigation and software-hardware integration. Practical experience in PC and PLC communication handshaking to ensure stable system data transmission.
- Visual Recognition Development: Develop or integrate system image recognition systems, visual preprocessing, and verification rule establishment. Capable of utilizing additional software (e.g., OpenCV/YOLO) for cross-validation to enhance system reliability.
- Communication and Coordination Skills: Excellent coordination skills for cross-team, cross-national (English communication required) collaboration, and interfacing with top-tier AI vendors. Strong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
【Preferred Qualifications】
- Open-Source Platform Development Experience: Familiar with the secondary development and practical application of open-source vehicle control platforms (e.g., ArduPilot/ArduRover, PX4, Mission Planner) for ground or surface vehicles. The ability to independently build or develop automatic navigation systems for USVs (small boats), or relevant practical experience, is highly preferred.
- Fundamentals of Control Theory: Knowledge of unmanned vehicle navigation and control system principles (such as Guidance, Navigation, and Control - GNC). Capable of providing optimization suggestions for vehicle motion control based on surface fluid characteristics.
- Project and Sea Trial Track Record: Previous participation in projects related to unmanned vehicles, autonomous surface ships, or ocean engineering. Practical experience in harbor or offshore sea trials.
- Relevant Licenses: Holding a powerboat driving license or possessing training certificates related to water operation safety.
