Responsibilities:
- Drive New Business: Identify and onboard clients and projects to meet sales and profitability targets.
- Market & Network Development: Gather market intelligence, expand client network, and nurture key relationships.
- Industry Insight: Stay current on sector trends and competitor activities.
- Bid Oversight: Review tender proposals, make go/no‑go decisions in consultation with the director, and act as Bid Manager for major projects.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Integrate with the BD team and work closely with other departments.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead discussions with clients on bids and contractual terms.
- Team Leadership: Coach and develop the tender and BD team to meet performance goals through training and performance management.
- Brand Stewardship: Uphold and enhance the company's brand, image, and reputation.
- Ad Hoc Support: Undertake additional tasks as assigned by senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8-12 years experience in business development within the construction industry (ground improvement experience a plus).
- Hands‑on geotechnical design expertise and solution management.
- Proficient with Office 365 and MS Office applications.
- Strong grasp of commercial/contractual project aspects.
