Transport Assistant II (carrying the job title of Assistant Transport Operations Officer)
The appointee(s) will serve as Assistant Transport Operations Officer(s), and will be responsible for (a) monitoring the daily operation of on-campus shuttle services (b) assisting in bus time-table scheduling and staff duty arrangements (c) arranging regular maintenance and checking of the University's vehicles (d) providing on-site support in managing campus school bus services and facilities (e) providing clerical and administrative support, including but not limited to general clerical tasks, such as filing, data input, and handling enquiries and complaints (f) performing driving duties when necessary and (g) performing other tasks as assigned. Outdoor inspections and overtime work may be required.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) at least 2 years post-qualification clerical and administrative experience, preferably at tertiary institutions or in the transportation sector (iv) a valid driving licence for Private Car and Light Goods Vehicle (v) a good sense of car repair and maintenance (vi) fast and accurate English and Chinese typing skill (vii) a strong sense of responsibility, a positive work attitude, and team spirit to work along with other colleagues (viii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua) and (ix) familiarity with computing systems, including good skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
