Job Description

The Transformation Leader serves as a senior change agent for GE Evergreen Engine Services (GEEVES), partnering with the General Manager to architect, govern, and accelerate a multi-year transformation that delivers measurable step-change in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) through FLIGHT DECK, our proprietary lean operating system.

This leader builds capability, embeds lean behaviors and systems thinking, and orchestrates execution across strategic pillars to achieve sustained operational excellence and cultural adoption.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Transformation Leadership

  • Ensure the transformation vision, roadmap, and targets in alignment with GEEVES strategy and enterprise priorities; establish governance, operating rhythms, and metrics to ensure disciplined execution and transparency
  • Partner with the General Manager and pillar owners to translate strategy into executable plans with clear charters, accountabilities, and SQDC outcomes
  • Drive cross-functional alignment, risk management, and resource prioritization to remove barriers and accelerate value realization
  • Serve as a visible culture carrier, modeling respect for people, customer focus, and continuous improvement

Lean Leadership and Operational Excellence

  • Coach, develop, and execute transformation plans leveraging Kaizen events, Hoshin Kanri, Standard Work, Kata, and other lean methodologies
  • Build site capability through a structured training and coaching model for leaders and teams; develop internal coaches to sustain improvements
  • Lead breakthrough initiatives linked to flow line creation and stabilization; establish benchmark lines as exemplars of best practices and standard work
  • Embed daily management, problem solving, and visual management to drive performance, escalation, and rapid recovery

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Create compelling change narratives; communicate progress, learnings, and outcomes to leadership and frontline audiences
  • Engage operators, engineers, quality, supply chain, and support functions to co-create solutions, strengthen buy-in, and reduce friction to change
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and adapt plans based on data and voice-of-customer insights

Performance Management and Results

  • Define and track leading and lagging indicators across SQDC; establish control plans to sustain gains
  • Run monthly and quarterly business reviews focused on outcomes, countermeasures, and capability building
  • Deliver tangible improvements in safety performance, first-pass yield, turn time, on-time delivery, inventory health, and cost productivity

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience leading lean transformation and operational excellence in complex industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles including Kaizen, Kata, Hoshin Kanri, and Standard Work
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels; strong executive presence
  • Highly hands-on, excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills; fluency with operational metrics and financial impact
  • Effective communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Unwavering commitment to Safety and Quality

Desired Characteristics

  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience in the aerospace industry and complex MRO or production operations
  • Familiarity with GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model
  • Experience as part of a large site's senior leadership team; prior responsibility for multi-pillar program governance
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and developing internal lean coaches

Key Success Measures (Examples)

  • Safety: recordable rate reduction; proactive hazard mitigation effectiveness
  • Quality: improvement in first-pass yield, defect rate, escapes, and COPQ
  • Delivery: reduced TAT and WIP; improved OTD and schedule adherence
  • Cost: productivity gains, inventory turns, and indirect burden reduction
  • Capability: FLIGHT DECK maturity progression; leader standard work adoption; training and certification throughput
