Trade Testing Superintendent

1. a minimum of 15 years solid work experience of technical craftsman skills or construction site inspection and supervision in the construction industry
2. a minimum of 5 years management experience in sizable organisation
3. possess secondary school qualification such as HKCEE/HKDSE or equivalent, with good Chinese writing skills, management skills, and strong communication skills with different teams and industry stakeholders
4. with basic knowledge of using digital or AIsupported tools to improve daily work efficiency and
5. good command of English would be an advantage.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

1. to oversee and manage the overall trade testing operation of the Hong Kong Construction Industry Trade Testing Centre
2. to supervise all skill assessment and trade test invigilation to ensure the rendering of suitable and efficient trade testing service
3. to validate skill assessment results in trade tests in fair, consistent and reliable manner
4. to ensure an astute and efficient resource management (including: manpower, workshop space, testing materials and facilities) to conduct trade test
5. to suggest and implement improvement initiatives on the trade testing operation, skill assessment approach, trade test requirements, etc.
6. to oversee the development and implementation of trade test in which all the related activities (e.g. logistics of tests, invigilation process, assessment approach, etc) are prepared
7. to assist the management in liaising with the industry to produce and update test papers and their assessment criteria
8. to communicate well with the industry stakeholders to explain trade test requirements and
9. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
