Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:

The Head of Trade Settlement & Confirmations Operations (TSCO), Hong Kong is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Markets and Cash Operations, with primary focus on FX, Money Markets, Treasury settlements, payments, and liquidityrelated activities.

The role acts as the senior operations representative in Hong Kong, partnering closely with Markets, Treasury, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and regulators to support business growth, operational resilience, and regulatory engagement, particularly in relation to HKMA requirements on payments and liquidity.

This position requires a strong Marketsaligned operations leader with the ability to manage teams, face off to regulators, and support expanding Markets and Treasury activity across Hong Kong and Greater China.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide endtoend leadership and oversight of Markets and Cash Operations, including FX, Money Markets, Treasury settlements, payments processing, and funding/liquidity activities
  • Act as the senior escalation point for settlement failures, funding breaks, liquidity issues, and operational risk incidents
  • Partner closely with Front Office, Treasury, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology to support Markets activity and balance sheet usage
  • Lead regulatory engagement with HKMA and other local regulators, particularly on payments, liquidity management, operational controls, and resilience
  • Ensure a strong control environment across trade settlement, confirmations, payments, and cash operations, in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations
  • Drive operational efficiency, risk reduction, and process improvements, including support for system enhancements and change initiatives
  • Manage and develop the local TSCO team, fostering a strong risk culture, talent development, and succession planning
  • Support business growth initiatives, licensing activities, and regional coordination across APAC Markets Operations

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business, or a related discipline professional qualifications such as CPA or CFA are advantageous
  • 8-10+ years of experience in Markets Operations, Cash Operations, or Treasury Operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong handson exposure to FX, Money Markets, Treasury settlements, payments, and liquidityrelated operations
  • Proven experience engaging with regulators, particularly HKMA, on payments, liquidity, or operational risk matters
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fastpaced, regulated environment
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to articulate complex operational issues clearly
  • Fluency in English is required Cantonese and Mandarin are strongly preferred to support Hong Kong and Greater China business
