Job Description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Accountable to the Asia Total Rewards cum Global Mobility Director for the execution of Compensation & Benefits Systems, Initiatives & Programs in Taiwan are aligned with the Company values, business directions and Corporate philosophy.

  1. Provides support and guidance to the Taiwan Human Resources team and Key Leadership Stakeholders in Total Rewards areas. Provide the necessary online and off-line support (phone, email, net-meeting) where appropriate to Taiwan HR.

  1. Provides support in the development and implementation of Compensation initiatives such as incentive and rewards programs that motivate employee behavior towards better engagement. For example, to partner with the business leaders on the Chairmans Award or other incentive programs which may be introduced from time to time regarding program scope, coverage, and eligibility.

  1. Supports Compensation Planning via survey data submission to survey consultants as appropriate through job matching exercise and completing the same in Air Products database for purpose of developing salary structure and performing competitive trend analysis from year to year or with other companies.

  1. Conducts surveys internally for purpose of understanding how certain C&B programs are being executed and whether there is opportunity for global alignment in terms of program execution and implementation.

  1. Keeps regular abreast of labor regulation updates and highlights these to MyHR Team for implementation.

  1. Supports insurance renewal process by liaising with benefits broker and related stakeholders as appropriate to ensure that the insurance renewal is completed within the timeline given.

  1. Provides incentive support in the audit of Sales Incentive and Driver Rate Incentive Program Calculations on monthly basis to ensure that the payments are accurate and in line with related policies and guidelines. Provides internal and external market data analytics on Sales/Driver Rate Incentive Programs for assessment of the program effectiveness.

  1. Facilitates Country Job Evaluation Review by either conducting onsite or offsite JE sessions with Business leads with view of getting alignment with appropriate stakeholders.

  1. Tracks and manages the solvency of AP Taiwan employees on the old Labor Standards Act (LSA) by regular updates with the Taiwan DB Reserve Committee and participating in their quarterly update meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience/Knowledge required:

  • University Graduate in Business with 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Has work experience in high-end Compensation and Benefits exposure within a professional, corporate environment.
  • Good understanding, appreciation and time management around the entire Compensation and Benefits Timeline and Lifecycle.
  • Expert Knowledge of Taiwan Labor Regulations and wide network with government agencies to keep abreast of changes in regard to Taiwan Labor Regulations
  • Ability to interpret and analyze survey findings independently and draw appropriate change recommendations to ensure that the Compensation and Benefits Programs stay relevant and are kept abreast with China business growth

Skill / Education Profile

  • Highly numerate with great attention to detail
  • High level of systems literacy, particularly with Excel
  • Comfortable dealing with extremely confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Appropriate post graduate qualification in total rewards
