Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced engineering principles and practices across the full product lifecycle, including design, development, validation, and release
- Provide technical expertise during customer engagements, supporting both existing and new product development initiatives
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication of both business and technical requirements
- Develop deep technical understanding of company products and competitive solutions within the market
- Lead internal and customer-facing design reviews, including drawings and specification validation
- Support and contribute to failure analysis activities, including reporting findings and recommendations
- Ensure all projects meet defined customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectations
- Conduct engineering simulations and analyses using computer-aided engineering tools to evaluate performance and manufacturability
- Contribute to the development and optimization of standardized product configurations
- Provide technical support during trade shows, demonstrations, and customer presentations
- Participate in technical negotiations with customers to define product specifications
- Support proposal creation and quotation development for both standard and customized solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships across customer organizations, understanding their applications and strategic needs
- Maintain knowledge of core engineering disciplines including:
- Electrical principles and circuits
- Microelectronic assembly
- Statistical methods and process control
- Product testing methodologies
- Understand key manufacturing processes such as welding, brazing, soldering, bonding, machining, stamping, molding, and forming
- Establish and maintain strong customer engineering relationships at multiple organizational levels
Additional Responsibilities (Data Center Cooling Focus)
- Lead technical engagements with data center customers, covering both air-cooled and liquid-cooled architectures
- Support solutions including:
- Direct-to-chip cooling
- Immersion cooling (single-phase and two-phase)
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of solutions within cooling infrastructure environments, including:
- Cooling distribution systems
- Air conditioning and air handling units
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Adiabatic cooling systems
- Translate customer needs into technical specifications for sensors and control systems
- Perform design reviews and failure analysis for cooling system components, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions for data center applications
- Provide hands-on technical support during customer demonstrations and industry events
- Assist in proposal and quotation development tailored to customer-specific cooling requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management capabilities
- High level of personal integrity, accountability, and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams, suppliers, and customers
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with HVAC/R systems, including air handling units, chillers, and cooling towers
- Familiarity with liquid cooling technologies:
- Direct-to-chip
- Immersion cooling (single and two-phase)
- Hybrid cooling systems
- Strong foundation in:
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid mechanics
- Heat transfer
- Exposure to AI and high-performance computing workloads and their impact on thermal requirements
- Knowledge of industry guidelines related to data center environmental conditions
- Understanding of refrigerant regulations and emerging low-impact alternatives
