Join Molex as a Thermal Design Engineering Manager in Taipei, Taiwan, where you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of advanced thermal solutions for our cable assembly products and cages. This involves tackling thermal challenges, particularly related to GPU and switch ASICs, within the rapidly evolving AI market space.

Our Team

You will be part of the Development Services Division (DSS) within the Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU). Our team is dedicated to innovation and excellence in thermal design, collaborating across various functions to ensure seamless integration of solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage the thermal design engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement thermal solutions for Molex CSBU products, including cable assemblies and cages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, validation, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of thermal designs.
• Conduct thermal simulations and analyses using tools such as FloTHERM, ANSYS, and 3D modeling using CREO/SOLIDWORK.
• Conduct thermal test methodologies to validate thermal simulations across both passive DAC and Active Electric cables (AEC) and cages.
• Oversee the design and validation of single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling solutions, including direct liquid cooling, immersion cooling technologies, and cold plate development.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal product development procedures.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in thermal design methodologies and technologies.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal engineering, focusing on server thermal solutions.
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
• Expertise in thermal simulation tools and 3D CAD software such as FloTHERM, ANSYS, and CREO/SOLIDWORK.
• Fluent in English, with exceptional communication skills.
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Master&aposs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of single-phase and two-phase heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Expertise in air cooling and single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling technologies, including direct liquid cooling and immersion cooling.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities, including knowledge of Design of Experiment and statistical analysis.
