Role Summary
The Test Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end testing activities for Temenos Core Banking implementations, upgrades, and transformation programs across Corporate Banking and Retail Banking domains. The role involves defining test strategies, managing test teams, coordinating with business and technology stakeholders, ensuring quality assurance governance, and overseeing all phases of testing including SIT, System Integration Testing, UAT support, Regression Testing, Performance Testing, and Production Verification.
The candidate should possess strong Temenos Transact (T24) functional knowledge, banking domain expertise, and experience leading large-scale testing engagements in multi-country banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
Test Management & Leadership
- Define and execute the overall testing strategy and test governance framework.
- Lead testing activities across multiple workstreams and applications.
- Develop Test Plans, Test Approach, Test Entry/Exit Criteria, and Quality Gate reviews.
- Manage onsite, offshore, and vendor testing teams.
- Track testing progress, risks, issues, defects, and quality metrics.
- Report testing status to Program Management and Steering Committees.
Temenos Core Banking Testing
- Lead testing activities for Temenos Transact (T24) modules in MCMB set up across:
- Customer Management
- Accounts & Deposits
- Lending
- Trade Finance
- Corporate Banking Services
- GL and reports
- Validate end-to-end business processes and customer journeys.
- Ensure configuration changes and product setups meet business requirements.
Integration Testing
- Coordinate testing across integrated systems
- Validate end-to-end transaction flows across the banking ecosystem.
Defect & Quality Management
- Conduct defect triage meetings.
- Manage defect prioritization and resolution tracking.
- Ensure root cause analysis is performed for critical defects.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives.
UAT & Business Engagement
- Support business users during UAT planning and execution.
- Review UAT scenarios and business test cases.
- Facilitate issue resolution during UAT cycles.
- Obtain testing sign-offs and readiness approvals.
Automation & Tools
- Drive test automation initiatives where applicable.
- Oversee automation framework implementation.
- Utilize tools such as:
- JIRA
- HP ALM / Quality Center
- Azure DevOps
- Selenium
- Tosca
- JMeter
Release & Production Support
- Support production dress rehearsals and cutover testing.
- Execute production verification testing.
- Participate in go-live readiness assessments and hypercare support.
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Expertise
- 10+ years of software testing experience in Banking and Financial Services.
- 5+ years leading testing teams on Temenos Transact (T24) projects.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Banking and Retail Banking operations.
- Experience in core banking transformation, migration, or upgrade programs.
Temenos Knowledge
Experience in testing one or more Temenos modules:
