Job Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer - Systems will play a critical role in the development and testing of software solutions that integrate with hardware components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hardware testing, particularly in relation to PC components, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications in conjunction with hardware systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications on various PC hardware platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve hardware and software integration issues.
- Utilize testing tools and methodologies to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results, providing clear communication of findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, contributing to design reviews and providing feedback on hardware-software interactions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot system servers, including FTP servers and SQL databases, to support testing environments.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware components, including notebooks, desktops, monitors, and accessories.
- Experience in testing Microsoft operating systems, including BIOS Testing - BIOS functionality.
- Basic hardware rework skills, including component changes and soldering.
- Proficient in documenting and communicating technical information effectively.
- Analytical Skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with HP platforms and related testing experiences.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing concepts.
- Testing Experience.
- Understanding of Web Service and system maintenance.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated motivation for self-learning and professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
