Job Description

Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tuen Mun)

Major Duties:
(a)	To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students projects and fieldwork placement
(b)	To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration
(c)	To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials
(d)	To provide training and professional consultation to student organisations
(e)	To plan, design, organise, implement and evaluate student developmental and career programmes and
(f)	To serve in various boards / committees and other academic committees and work groups as required.

Requirements:
(a)	A recognised degree in Social Science or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification
(b)	Able to deliver modules related to whole person development and to implement student projects
(c)	Substantial experience in organising youth activities and developmental programmes
(d)	Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese and
(e)	Good planning and problem solving skills, and able to work under pressure and dynamic environment.

Notes:
(1)	The post is at the rank of Teaching Associate.
(2)	Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3)	Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
(4)	Successful candidates are required to perform duties in different sites and/or outside normal office hours.
