Department / Section : Design Foundation Studies Unit

Major Duties:
(a)
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement
(b)
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration
(c)
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials
(d)
To assist in validation and accreditation of the programmes and
(e)
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
Requirements:
(a)
A recognised degree in Design Innovation, Design Management, Creative Media, Digital Media, Media Communication, Film & Animation, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification
(b)
At least 3 years relevant teaching and / or industry experience with comprehensive knowledge and skills in film and animation design
(c)
Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese and
(d)
Records of linkage with the digital media-related industries or professional bodies.
Notes:
(1)
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2)
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment.
(3)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and at different work locations as assigned.
