Job Description

Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Haking Wong)

Subject Areas:
(i) Digital Marketing and Advertising
(ii) E-Commerce and Communications Management
Major Duties:
(a) To perform teaching duties, including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement
(b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration
(c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials
(d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes
(e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions
(f) To attend required meetings and
(g) To conduct assessments and evaluations, providing constructive feedback on student performance to foster skill development and career readiness.
Requirements:
(a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification
(b) At least 3 years relevant teaching and / or industry experience
(c) Strong communication, teaching, and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
(d) Candidate(s) with overseas teaching experience will have an advantage, as exposure to international markets and practices can enrich students learning in digital marketing and e-commerce
(e) A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude
(f) Preferably knowledgeable and experienced in curriculum and new module development
(g) Candidate(s) holding professional certifications in Digital Marketing and / or E-Commerce, and those with a strong understanding of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET), will have an advantage and
(h)Specific Requirements for Different Subject Areas:
(i)For Digital Marketing and Advertising:
Preferably substantial experience in digital marketing, both offline and online advertising, and marketing analytics incorporating artificial intelligence
(ii)For E-Commerce and Communications Management:
Preferably substantial experience in e-commerce management, digital business management, online customer engagement, live commerce, and communications or an equivalent field
Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
(2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and / or outside campus.
(3) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
