| Major Duties: |
| (a) | To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement |
| (b) | To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration |
| (c) | To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials |
| (d) | To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes |
| (e) | To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions and |
| (f) | To attend meetings when necessary. |
|
| Requirements: |
| (a) | A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification |
| (b) | At least 3 years relevant teaching and/or industry experience |
| (c) | Good communication, teaching and presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua |
| (d) | A good team player with a proactive attitude |
| (e) | Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development |
| (f) | Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage and |
| (g) | Specific Requirements: |
| (i) | Relevant experience working in the logistics industries, with a focus on airport ramp service, air cargo operation, special cargo operation, e-commerce operation, service management, SMART Warehousing, shipping practices and carriage law and |
| (ii) | Solid knowledge of industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in the respective fields is required. |

| Notes: |
| (1) | Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Term Assistant Lecturer, at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
| (2) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
| (3) | The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit the operational needs. |
| (4) | Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
| (5) | The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
