| Major Duties: |
| (a) | To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students projects and industrial attachments |
| (b) | To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration |
| (c) | To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning, assessment materials and project work |
| (d) | To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions and |
| (e) | To participate in campus projects, events and functions such as open days, admission, short courses, consultancy services and taster programmes. |
| |
| Requirements: |
| (a) | A recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Networking, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification |
| (b) | Good communication, teaching and presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua |
| (c) | A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure |
| (d) | Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage |
| (e) | Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience in one or more of the specialisms mentioned below: |
| Specialism (I): |
| (i) | Good knowledge and solid experience in data science and big data technologies |
| (ii) | Good knowledge and solid experience in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning |
| (iii) | Preferably with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following skillsets: Python, R, Tableau, Cursor, Hadoop, LLM, agentic AI, TensorFlow/PyTorch or other popular AI frameworks. |
| Specialism (II): |
| (i) | Good knowledge and solid experience in information security, administration and security in Linux, Windows and network environments |
| (ii) | Good knowledge and solid experience in ethical hacking or digital forensics |
| (iii) | Preferably with knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following skill sets: incident response, cloud security, application security, information security auditing. |
| Specialism (III): |
| (i) | Good knowledge and solid experience in information technology, software development, wireless communications, Windows/Linux server administration, network protocols and simulation tools |
| (ii) | Preferably with knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following skillsets: Python, Java, cloud computing, object-oriented technology, Web application development, virtualization, Kubernetes, DevOps, Ansible, SDN, AD/LDAP, storage solutions and experience with Cisco/H3C/Huawei equipment |
| (iii) | Preferably with relevant IT professional certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CISA, etc) and |
| (f) | Preferred Putonghua Proficiency: |
| (i) | Mother tongue / language is Putonghua or |
| (ii) | Received a bachelor's degree or above of which the medium of instruction is Putonghua or |
| (iii) | Have at least 3 years work experience in the Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions or |
| (iv) | Attainment of Grade 3B or above at the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |
