TechnicianThe appointee will join the Education and Academic Affairs (EAA) team of the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine, and will primarily work at the KCT Clinical Skills Learning Centre (KCTCSLC) at the Prince of Wales Hospital.The appointee will be responsible for providing technical, educational, and event support for KCTCSLC and other teaching venues managed by the Office. Duties include (a) managing the day-to-day operations of clinical skills laboratories/simulation laboratories (b) co-ordinating and supporting practical teaching (c) operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment in teaching laboratories (d) providing technical support for educational activities, examinations, and events (e) providing assistance with surrogate patient recruitment and related logistics and (f) performing other tasks as assigned.Applicants should have (i) a Higher Diploma or above in related disciplines from a recognised university or technical institute (ii) at least 1 year's relevant post-qualification work experience and (iii) experience in supporting audio-visual equipment, PC software and hardware. Having experience in handling patient simulators, including SimMan, Harvey, and other patient simulators will be advantageous.Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site.
