Technical Project Manager Cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex cybersecurity projects and security platform implementations.
• Drive the implementation of security controls across networks, servers, cloud workloads, and end-user endpoints.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineering, architecture, SOC, infrastructure, cloud, operations, procurement, and vendor teams.
• Oversee the implementation and operationalization of cybersecurity platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, NDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, and Vulnerability Management solutions.
• Ensure effective governance of project risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and escalation processes.
• Coordinate technical teams from solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational handover.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve security operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance response capabilities.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and updates to senior stakeholders.
• Translate complex cybersecurity and technical requirements into clear business outcomes and actionable project plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational security and technology objectives.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective communication across internal teams, leadership, and external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in Technical Project Management or cybersecurity project delivery.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or asset management environments is preferred.
• Strong hands-on understanding of enterprise cybersecurity technologies and SOC environments.
• Experience with security platforms including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, NDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, and Vulnerability Management solutions.
• Knowledge of attack surface management, vulnerability assessment, threat exposure management, data aggregation and prioritization, and attack simulation and validation.
• Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, infrastructure protection, and system hardening based on CIS Benchmarks.
• Good knowledge of identity and access security and operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Experience with security automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to threat intelligence, threat hunting, security observability, and incident detection and response capabilities.
• Knowledge of cloud security architectures and controls across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong ability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders, dependencies, and vendors.
• Ability to translate technical security requirements into business-focused project outcomes.
• Excellent project governance, risk management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• PMP, cybersecurity certifications, and AWS or other cloud certifications will be advantageous.
