Global Electronics Association the leading global trade organization for the electronics industry is seeking a Technical Programs Manager to independently lead and deliver technical initiatives in Taiwan.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, ideal for a highly self-motivated professional who enjoys end-to-end ownership of projects. You will spend approximately 60% of your time on training and technical services, and 40% on standards-related work making this an opportunity to directly influence Taiwans electronics manufacturing industry while contributing to global standards development.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Technical Services (Approx. 60%)
o Deliver IPC certification programs (CIT/CIS) as a Master IPC Trainer (MIT) with high-quality, standards-compliant instruction.
o Localize and adapt training materials, ensuring consistency with global standards.
o Conduct technical audits, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvement actions.
o Provide technical consulting for clients.
o Support client visits with hands-on technical expertise.
o Participate in technical forums, exhibitions to expand industry expertise and networks.
Standards Development & Localization (Approx. 40%)
o Act as liaison to IPC standards development and revision task groups.
o Organize and facilitate task group meetings; track assignments, consolidate input, and monitor progress.
o Manage translation, localization, and publication of IPC standards with accuracy and timeliness.
o Advocate for IPC standards adoption within Taiwans electronics ecosystem.
Qualifications
o Bachelors degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or related field.
o 10+ years in PCB, PCBA, or related electronics manufacturing sectors.
o Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and project management.
o Experience in standards development or technical training preferred.
o Fluent in Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects from start to finish.
o Skilled in working with cross-functional and multicultural teams without direct supervisory responsibilities.
o Technical Expertise:
Familiarity with IPC standards such as IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-6012, IPC-7711/21.
CIT certification preferred.
Prior publications or technical contributions are a plus.
o Domestic travel approx. 20% (training, audits, events).
o Occasional international travel for HQ meetings or industry events.
