What is your role and impact
As Technical Program Manager in Taiwan, you play a key role in scaling Nearfield's success at leading semiconductor customers.
You are responsible for building and leading a strong Applications Engineering team while driving the successful introduction and ramp of Nearfield's technology in customer environments. You combine people leadership, technical depth, and program ownership to ensure execution and long-term customer success.
You act as a key interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring strong alignment, fast execution, and continuous improvement.
What will you be doing
Team Leadership & Development
Build and lead the Applications Engineering team in Taiwan. You coach, develop, and inspire team members while strengthening both technical capabilities and customer engagement.
Set clear priorities and ensure alignment between customer deliverables and internal objectives. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
New Product Insertion (NPI) & Process Development
Drive New Product Insertion (NPI) activities at customer sites. You ensure successful tool bring-up, process qualification, and transition to production.
Support process development and integration of Nearfield's technology into semiconductor process flows. Manage risks during early deployment and ensure readiness for high-volume manufacturing.
Program Management & Execution
Lead end-to-end execution of customer programs from evaluation through production ramp. You ensure delivery against milestones, timelines, and performance targets.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Applications, Product, Hardware, Software, and R&D to drive execution and resolve challenges.
Customer Engagement
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at leading semiconductor companies. You act as a trusted advisor on applications, process development, and technology adoption.
Translate customer needs into structured plans and ensure clear communication and follow-up.
Technical Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues. You drive structured problem-solving and implement sustainable solutions.
Capture learnings and best-known methods, and feed insights back into product development and future applications.
What do we require from you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Strong experience in semiconductor equipment, applications engineering, or process development
Proven experience with New Product Introduction / New Product Insertion (NPI) in semiconductor environments
Solid understanding of semiconductor process flows such as lithography, etch, CMP, or metrology
Experience working closely with semiconductor customers in fab environments
Demonstrated ability to lead or develop technical teams
Strong program management and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to align stakeholders
Fluent in English; Mandarin is highly preferred
Willingness to travel within Taiwan and internationally
