Technical Officer, Materials Testing and Quality Assurance

What you'll do:

• Perform daily laboratory tests, including nickel release and precious metal content testing, validate results, and issue client reports within agreed timelines
• Support the Unit in maintaining HOKLAS-accredited laboratories and facilitating compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
• Support the Unit in delivering professional testing solutions to clients through advanced materials testing methodologies
• Support the Unit in identifying and prioritising potential testing service offerings based on market and technology trends assist in deploying these services and collaborating with strategic partners to introduce advanced materials testing technologies that benefit Hong Kong's manufacturing sector
• Deliver commercial and government-funded projects involving advanced materials technologies with initiative and professionalism
• Undertake occasional travel to Chinese Mainland and overseas locations to support project delivery
  

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience in material characterization, nickel release testing, or precious metal content testing is an advantage
• Experience in maintaining a HOKLAS-accredited laboratory is an advantage
• Knowledge of advanced materials testing and material characterization is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, teamwork, and marketing skills
• Innovative, mature, and self-motivated, with a willingness to embrace challenges and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
