The Department of English is seeking a teaching consultant in Applied Linguistics/Professional Communication for the 2026-27 academic year.

Duties

The candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in linguistics and professional communication courses, and supervise student projects. The candidate will also support large‑class teaching, such as course material development, course administration and marking student assignments, as well as some administrative duties assigned by the department.

Requirements

A PhD degree in Applied Linguistics/Professional Communication/English Language Studies. The candidate is expected to have excellent command of English, and good interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate is expected to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of Learning Management System such as Canvas is preferred.
