Position Summary

The Tainan Factory Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all operational functions at the Tainan manufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient production operations, warehouse management, engineering support, and full compliance with EHS standards. The Factory Manager drives operational excellence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve company objectives and meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage all aspects of factory operations, including Planning, Production, Process Engineering (PE), New Product Introduction (NPI), and EHS compliance.
  2. Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring timely goods receiving, accurate inventory control, and efficient outbound logistics. Establish and enforce SOPs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  3. Drive process optimization and standardization across planning, production, and warehouse functions. Leverage data analytics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Finance, and other departments to align factory operations with business objectives and customer requirements.
  5. Develop and manage staffing plans, training programs, and performance development for factory teams to ensure sufficient manpower and capability.
  6. Ensure full compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and quality standards. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
  7. Report factory performance, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives to senior management on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in factory or manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in a management role.
  3. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and quality management systems.
  4. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  5. Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize processes and reduce costs.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English for cross-functional coordination and reporting.
  8. Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning tools, and inventory management software.
  9. Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  10. Sound judgment with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
