We are looking to hire ten highly talented and self-motivated 'System Integration and Test Engineer - Server DQA' to onsite Inventec - Daxi office in Taiwan.
Responsibilities
- Certification Testing for top server brand&aposs product (Server), Network configuration, HW assemblies, System integration, OS Installations, IP setting, etc.
- OS Certification testing (OS Cert) for Windows, Redhat, VMWare, etc.
- HW server system validation
- BIOS/BMC firmware test and OS compatibility test.
- Issue report/analysis/debugging and feature behavior clarification.
- Creating databases to track validation activities (e.g. JIRA)
- Developing validation schedules
- Monitoring and testing equipment
- Analyzing and documenting test results
- Directing validation activities
- Resolving testing problems
- Making adjustments or improvements to equipment and processes
- Maintaining instrumentation and equipment
- Keeping up to date on industry standards & regulations
Qualifications
- College graduated or above, major in Computer Science, Info. Mgmt., Engineering related
- 2-3 yrs exp. of SIT (System Integration Test)/DQA (Design Quality Assurance) on Server/Workstation (BIOS/BMC Validation exp. is a plus)
- Skill w/ Python or MS/Linux script.
- Skill w/ PC DIY, HW assemblies, System Integration (SI), OS Installations, Network configuration, IP setting, basic Internet connection troubleshooting is a MUST.
- Have basic knowledge about Computer hardware, PC x86 structure, Operating System (OS) Knowledge/Installation, SI, Firewall management, or familiar w/ Server (PC) architecture/CPU/Memory/Storage/Network, etc.
- Advanced familiar with BIOS, BMC or OS CV/Cert Test.
- Exp. on DIY computer, Helpdesk, MIS, Rack Server operations, Network & Infrastructure administration (e.g. Firewall).
- Exp. on Server/Workstation related tests.
- Exp. on Certification Testing, Network configuration, HW assemblies, SI, OS Installations.
- Hands-on general SI knowledge base is a MUST. Familiar w/ SI can help to learn OS Cert quickly.
- Basic read/write/listen/speak in English (TOEIC 350 - 600). Especially English written communication skills. Can understand & speak technical terms. All the documents (ReadME, instruction, test case), tool kit, OS, log, JIRA (bug report system) are all in English.
- Be able to follow English test steps to perform End-to-End test incl. executing scripts.
- Know how to file a bug and how to use a bug tracking tool. (e.g. JIRA)
- Can work independently (e.g. create test plan, schedule test, manage task to complete on time, etc.)
- In the future, willing to learn to do HW test task becomes an all-round DQA.
- Positive and responsible, good communication and interaction, teamwork thinking is preferred.
Other qualifications
- Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English). Mandarin speaking/reading is essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.
- Soft Skills: Good listener, sense of humor, open minded, respect, patience, resolving issues, etc.
- Exp. applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
- Can work independently (e.g. create test plan, schedule test, manage tasks to complete on time, etc.)
- Can work under pressure
- Can adapt to fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn new technologies
- Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
