System Engineer

About the Company

Our client is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the transport and infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a technical infrastructure specialist to support the deployment, maintenance, and optimisation of system environments across development and testing platforms.

• Administer and maintain diverse operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and Unix-based platforms
• Set up and manage middleware components and enterprise messaging systems
• Install and support database systems (e.g., relational databases) and directory services
• Configure and manage container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Troubleshoot system and middleware issues, perform upgrades, and apply patches
• Collaborate with pre-sales and project teams to support infrastructure design, sizing, and deployment planning
• Contribute to technical documentation and cross-team coordination during project execution.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in systems or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting and infrastructure automation
• Strong Experience with enterprise platforms including middleware, databases, and directory services
• Familiarity with modern container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Strong foundational understanding of application architecture
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Red Hat) and certifications are a plus
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
