Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to spearhead our Unit Trust (UT) Product Management team within IP&A. This critical role will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and ongoing management of our UT product suite, driving growth and innovation, which including AUM growth, revenue generation, and product penetration across Unit Trust offerings, while expanding the platform into WM 2.0 products, including alternative investments and private asset funds, within our Consumer Banking business.

The role requires a strong commercial mindset, speed of execution, and the ability to translate market opportunities into scalable product strategies.

The candidate will lead a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • AUM Growth & Commercial Performance

Own and deliver AUM growth, net sales, and revenue targets for Unit Trust products

Drive product penetration, activation, and client acquisition through targeted campaigns

Actively manage product mix to optimize margin, flows, and shelf competitiveness

Identify and capture market opportunities to accelerate inflows during different market cycles

  • Product Strategy & WM 2.0 Expansion

Lead overall Unit Trust product strategy while expanding into WM 2.0 offerings (e.g., alternative funds, private credit, private assets)

Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-conviction investment products aligned with client demand and market trends

Build a future-ready product shelf balancing traditional UT and next-generation investment solutions

Partner with regional/global teams to bring innovative products and structures into the local market

  • Sales Enablement & Frontline Activation

Work closely with frontline teams to drive strong sales momentum and execution discipline

Design and execute high-impact campaigns, thematic plays, and tactical pushes to capture flows

Translate complex products (including alternatives) into clear, sellable propositions

Provide ongoing training, positioning, and talking points to enhance RM effectiveness

  • Strategic Partnerships & Negotiation

Lead engagement with fund houses and product providers to secure competitive terms, exclusives, and capacity

Negotiate fee structures to enhance product profitability and client value proposition

Build long-term partnerships to support pipeline of differentiated products, including private market opportunities

  • Risk, Governance & Product Discipline

Ensure robust product due diligence, governance, and regulatory compliance across all offerings

Balance growth with risk awareness, especially for WM 2.0 and less liquid products

Maintain strong oversight on product suitability, client segmentation, and sales practices

  • Team Leadership & Execution Culture

Lead and build a high-performance, results-driven team with strong accountability on targets

Instill a culture of speed, ownership, and commercial impact

Continuously enhance team capabilities in both traditional UT and alternative investments

Candidate Profile:

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence frontline sales

Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance growth, risk, and client outcomes

Solid understanding of regulatory landscape and product governance

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in wealth management, asset management, or product leadership Proven track record in driving AUM growth and delivering sales results. Strong knowledge of unit trusts, mutual funds, and growing exposure to alternative investments / private markets
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. CFA or other relevant professional certifications are highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of UT products, the financial markets, and investment management principles.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Solid understanding of regulatory landscape and product governance
    • Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance growth, risk, and client outcomes
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
