Job Summary

The Supercharge Operations Manager oversees the operation, maintenance, performance, and expansion of BYD's EV charging network in Singapore, ensuring high uptime, safety compliance, and effective coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and monitor performance metrics of all charging stations to ensure optimal uptime and utilization
  • Develop and implement operational procedures, service standards, and preventive maintenance programs to maintain charger reliability and safety
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing external vendors and contractors to resolve faults and customer issues promptly
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts and control maintenance budgets to support efficient operations
  • Support site acquisition, charger deployment, commissioning, and network expansion projects by coordinating with landlords, utility providers, contractors, consultants, and government agencies
  • Ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and quality standards through effective project management
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to maintain compliance with Singapore regulations and EV charging safety standards
  • Maintain accurate operational records, permits, certifications, and documentation for compliance and audit readiness
  • Develop and track KPIs for network performance and service delivery, preparing reports and dashboards for management review
  • Analyze charging data to identify opportunities for improving utilization rates and enhancing customer experience

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EV charging, electrical systems, facilities, utilities, infrastructure, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, charger operations, and project management
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders across cultural backgrounds (language requirement relates to stakeholder liaison)
