About the Company
Our pets are family. Yet much of what they experience remains unspoken. Pawxie is building the intelligence layer that bridges that gap. By learning each pet's unique baseline, it is designed to turn meaningful physiological and behavioural changes into evidence-grounded health intelligence for earlier disease detection and more proactive veterinary care.
About the Role
Pawxie is hiring a Strategy & Operations Manager to act as a close strategic and operating partner to the Founder. You will take broad, ambiguous questions and turn them into clear decisions, structured programmes, and disciplined execution. The work moves between company direction and practical detail. You will shape priorities, build the case for important decisions, align technical workstreams, and carry critical initiatives through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic and operating partner to the Founder, helping set priorities and directing company attention toward the work that matters most.
- Turn ambiguous business and operating challenges into structured programmes with clear scope, owners, workstreams, and timelines.
- Lead high-priority initiatives across hardware, firmware, algorithms, product, and field operations, resolving dependencies and maintaining momentum.
- Own Pawxie's planning and review cycle. Give the Founder a clear view of performance, risks, decisions, and emerging priorities.
- Build the narratives and materials behind major company decisions, fundraising, investor discussions, and strategic partnerships.
- Use market research, operating data, and competitive insight to explain what the evidence means and recommend what Pawxie should do next.
- Own Pawxie's operational backbone, setting clear expectations and ensuring reliable execution across internal operations and external relationships.
- Raise the standard of execution across the company. Find recurring friction, resolve its cause, and build systems that remain useful as Pawxie grows.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategy and operations, management consulting, business operations, technical programme management, or startup operations.
- A track record of turning ambiguous problems into structured projects and driving them through delivery.
- Experience developing decision-ready narratives and recommendations for founders, executives, investors, or external partners.
- Strong structured thinking, business judgment, and analytical ability.
- The ability to synthesise complex information into a clear conclusion, recommendation, and course of action.
- Comfort moving between company-level strategy and the detailed work required to deliver it.
- The ability to coordinate technical and non-technical teams, influence outcomes, and build alignment without formal authority.
- Strong ownership, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through across work of every scale.
- Working proficiency in English and Mandarin for team, vendor, and partner communication in Taiwan.
- A genuine love for pets and a commitment to improving how people understand and care for them.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an early-stage IoT, wearables, consumer hardware, or health-technology company.
- Veterinary, animal welfare, or pet industry exposure.
Compensation: NT$90,000–NT$120,000 per month (base salary), with flexibility above for candidates with exceptional relevant experience.
