About Our Client
Our client is a global environmental sciences company with offices across APAC.
Job Description
- Coordinate and manage engagements with external service providers across the APAC region, including auditors, tax advisors, tax teams, and Accounting, Compliance & Reporting teams, while effectively partnering with internal stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to facilitate information gathering and ensure the timely completion of statutory, regulatory, and tax filing requirements.
- Advise stakeholders on accounting treatments and financial reporting matters to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain consolidated reporting and audit support documentation across APAC entities.
- Lead initiatives to standardize statutory reporting processes and outputs across the region, working closely with functions such as Finance, IT, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to audit support, tax compliance, and data extraction processes.
- Serve as a point of reference for accounting and tax-related queries, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
- Perform and review tax reconciliations across multiple APAC jurisdictions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate existing workflows, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend as well as implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and strengthening of internal control frameworks to enhance governance and compliance standards.
- Participate in or lead regional projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Statutory Audit Member should have:
- Strong knowledge of statutory financial reporting and auditing standards.
- At least 2 years in audit and commercial.
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting within industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
