Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Quality Engineer to support and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS). This role is responsible for maintaining ISO 9001 compliance, leading internal quality audits, supporting external certification and customer audits, managing document control processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor quality systems, document control, Agile PLM, customer quality requirements, and automotive quality standards. This position reports to the Director, Quality Assurance & Failure Analysis.

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the corporate Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, forms, and standards
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements
  • Monitor quality system KPIs and support Management Review activities
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for systemic quality issues
  • Plan and perform internal quality audits across engineering, operations, and support functions
  • Coordinate ISO 9001 certification audits and customer quality audits
  • Track audit findings through effective corrective action closure
  • Maintain audit schedules and audit records
  • Train employees on quality procedures and audit requirements
  • Manage controlled documents within Agile PLM
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), specifications, procedures, and forms
  • Ensure document revision control and approval workflows are followed
  • Maintain document compliance and improve document management processes
  • Coordinate Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and Product Discontinuance Notifications (PDNs)
  • Ensure customer notifications meet contractual and JEDEC requirements
  • Track PCN/PDN metrics and maintain documentation
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using quality methodologies
  • Develop quality metrics and dashboards
  • Promote best practices across engineering and manufacturing

Qualifications (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's (Master's preferred) degree in engineering, Quality, or related field or equivalent
  • 8+years of experience in Quality Management Systems within the semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification
  • Experience conducting internal quality audits and supporting external certification audits
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, or quality data analytics tools
  • Hands-on experience with Agile PLM or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems
  • Experience managing Controlled documents; Engineering Change Orders (ECOs); Product Change Notifications (PCNs), and Product Discontinuance Notifications (PDNs)
  • Quality Systems: ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (QMS), CAPA, Risk Management, Document Control
  • Quality Tools: Internal Auditing ,8D Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis ,5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto Analysis, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA)
  • Systems: Agile PLM, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI (preferred)
  • No travel required
