Overview

Synaptics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Planning Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient production schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring optimal use of resources to meet customer demand. You will play a key role in balancing production capacity, inventory levels, and delivery timelines, while identifying opportunities to improve workflow and reduce costs. This position reports to the Manager, Operations Planning.

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align execution plans with budget, staffing, and program milestones
  • Analyze engineering schedules, resource utilization, and throughput to meet customer demand and inventory targets
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to incorporate demand forecasts into production plans; adjust plans based on forecast and market changes
  • Work with quality, engineering, and operations teams to resolve production issues
  • Ensure production plans comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Co-work with IT and OSAT for Oracle data transaction
  • Identify and implement enhancements to planning tools and processes

  • Excellent analytical skills; resourceful in finding solutions to complex challenges
  • Good verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross functional team

Qualifications (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's or professional certification is a plus) in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
  • Track record of translating complex data into actionable operational strategies
  • Demonstrated experience building alignment across engineering, program, and business stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and production planning tools
  • No travel required
