Join Micron Technology's Global Facilities & Construction Department as an expert Gas Engineer, contributing to top-tier engineering supports. Major responsibilities includes but not limited to below listed.
Deliver Technical Aid, Direction, and Mastery
- Support and advise Site Facilities & Manufacturing teams in North Asia as the Technical Rigor Subject Matter Expert.
- Work closely with internal collaborators and interested parties, such as the Technology Development Team, Procurement, Finance, and Legal.
- Formulate, assess, and uphold Micron system, equipment, and component Standards, Specifications, and Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Ensure Standardization and Alignment across the Micron North Asia Network for Engineering and Craftsmanship concepts, Construction Project execution, Reliability Programs deployment, and Operations and Maintenance practices.
- Analyze system builds to determine improvements for better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings.
- Support sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies.
- Compare Engineering Best Practices and Best Known Methods (BKM) of Facilities buildings and systems both internally and externally at Micron sites.
- Stay up-to-date with innovative technical knowledge in your field, including Industry Trends and Technological advances.
Supply Design and Construct and Engineering Project
- Assist the Micron Site Design and Construction project teams in North Asia with Engineering and Design evolution for new large-scale Facilities Infrastructure Expansion projects.
- Develop, review, and maintain Micron Global Construction Standards and Specifications.
- Develop system invention concepts for deployment in Design and Construction Projects.
- Maintain effective communication with local customers to meet project objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct timely assessments of build packages, offering detailed feedback.
- Provide support for cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval.
- Supervise and coordinate Consultant resources as required.
- Ensure scope meets customer and requestor needs and change management procedures are followed.
- Monitor progress and offer Engineering and Development assistance throughout construction.
- Align with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Review capacity planning databases and system operating trends across the network.
Offer Support, Leadership, and Expertise for Global Initiatives Program
- Establish, inspect, and sustain Micron Global Top Practices (TP) guides emphasizing Operations and Maintenance Reliability and Performance.
- Take charge of Global Facilities Programs & Initiatives, setting goals, strategies, and top-level implementation plans.
- Head Global Facilities Sustainability Initiatives, encompassing Emissions, Energy, Water, Wastewater, and Green Infrastructure Development Pillars.
Demonstrate EHS Ownership
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with local permit policies, codes, and regulations, applying them to support the Gas team.
- Participate actively in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Gas Engineering.
- Ability to make decisions, troubleshoot problems, and address root causes.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong peer relationships.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize complex projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer/co-worker relationships.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English (proficiency in an additional language preferred).
