Job Summary

Supermicro Computer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate to take on the responsibilities of Senior Thermal Engineer. The position will be responsible for the thermal architecture, design, analysis, and validation of thermal technologies within networking server and data storage products. The role utilizes and champions a design process based on estimating, simulating, and testing the thermal performance of new products and architectures. The ideal candidate will have outstanding leadership skill to lead the junior engineer and possess strong fundamental background in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and the implementation of thermal solutions in enterprise electronics.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and validation of CDU (Coolant distribution unit) for liquid-cooling server, and rack-level liquid cooling solution.
• Conduct CFD analysis, thermal simulation and experimental validation for system-level, rack-level and data-center level cooling systems.
• Develop and integrate next-generation high-density rack level liquid cooling solution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to deliver optimized liquid cooling soliton.
• Support customer engagement by providing technical expertise and proposals of liquid cooling solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in thermal engineering, preferably with focus on server cooling thermal solution or liquid cooling system.
• Strong knowledge of thermal analysis, and heat transfer principles.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English for technical communication and documentation.
