Hardware Systems Engineer (Mechanical Focus)

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineer with strong mechanical engineering skills and cross functional aptitude to lead the design and integration of advanced electromechanical systems for our next-generation videoconferencing products. The Teams Work Space business unit is looking for a hardware systems engineer motivated to design and build the next generation of video conferencing equipment. If you are a highly creative mechanical engineer with experience in working on complex projects and cross functional engineering teams, and a track record of shipping high volume products, you may be a great fit.

In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with the Lead Systems Engineer and multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, acoustical, and optical) to deliver integrated product solutions.
- Facilitate defi nition and optimize the mechanical architecture, integrating thermal, acoustical, electrical, and optical elements.
- Ensure mechanical, thermal management, electrical, acoustical, and optical components fi t and function together.
- Own system-level integration (thermal management, structural analysis, material selection, etc.).
- Facilitate Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and design quality reviews to ensure robust manufacturability. When required, act as a lead SE for a project and be responsible for cross-functional aspects of the project.
- Drive engineering trade-off analyses to balance technical, commercial, and cross-functional project goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve multidisciplinary technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in electromechanical, acoustical, or mechatronic system development.
- Fluency in CAD (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools (FEA/CFD).
- Strong foundation in material science, thermal management, and structural analysis.
- Proven success in product integration, DFM/DFA, and collaboration across technical teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Preferred: Experience in consumer electronics or video collaboration industries.
